There are many good quality plant based restaurants right here in Dallas.  Don’t feel like cooking today?  Here is a quick review of five great options:

Prepared and to-go food:

Nature’s Plate offers wonderfully delicious fully prepared meals to go at any of their three locations.  They offer meal plans, and for an extra fee, they will deliver meals to you weekly. Join me for the next lunch-and-learn at their Preston Forest location on Wednesday, April 24th at noon.  Visit their site at https://naturesplate.com/

Lucky Cat offers a fabulous plant-based vegan menu exclusively available on food delivery apps such as UberEats, GrubHub and more.  Find them at https://luckycatvegan.com/

Brewed and Pressed has two locations in the uptown area.  I haven’t been there yet but plan to go soon and try their sweet potato kale bowl.  They offer breakfast, lunch, juices, sweets and plant-based “provisions” like cinnamon almond butter and hemp-cashew cheese.  Their full menu at https://www.brewedandpressedusa.com/

Sit-down restaurants:

Spiral Diner and Bakery originated in Fort Worth and now has locations in Oak Cliff and Denton as well.  This diner serves decadent comfort style foods like quesadillas, nachos and cupcakes along with super flavorful salads and soups.  Check it out and go early to avoid the crowds. spiraldiner.com

V-Eats Modern Vegan is a fun addition to the growing number of plant-based spots in Dallas.  Known for their plant-based brisket, this Trinity Groves restaurant offers home-style dishes like chicken fried steak, a chili cheese dog with quinoa and lentils plus pastas and salads. There’s also a great patio for dining alfresco and people watching.
